Panono GmbH has developed the Panono Camera, a ball-shaped camera that consists of 36 lenses. It captures full spherical panoramas in 360x360° at the ultra high resolution of 108 Megapixel.

Aside from selling the camera and accessories, Panono also offers SaaS cloud services to round out the user experience and generate reccuring revenue. The Panono cloud consists of high quality stitching of high resolution panoramas and hosting of panoramic images. The panoramas can be viewed without additional software by using our web-viewer. It also offers new ways of monetization for content providers.

History

Panono was founded in October, 2012 after getting tremendous 2 million views after just one week on its short YouTube video showing the Panono Camera prototype.

One year later, Panono started crowdfunding on Indiegogo and raised $ 1.25M USD, breaking the record for the biggest campaign from Germany.

The phenomenal support from the crowd continued through the campaign on Companisto in early 2015, where Panono raised 1.6M EUR ($ 1.8M USD) making it the biggest of a startup there.
