I feel there is a need to help parents realize that yes, they may have a child with developmental delays, but there is a lot of resources out there available to them and their children. That there is many educational tools they can use to raise their child into a functional, happy adult. That even though they may not have the ability to become a lawyer or doctor, that with the right tools, they can be reasonably self-supporting, happy adults.
