Co-founder (CTO)Mads Almassalkhi has 10 years of experience as a key member on small dynamic engineering and startup teams that develop innovative solutions for medical, defense, and electricity industries. He is now an Assistant Professor at the University of Vermont where he leads funded R&D power/energy projects with T&D partners. Previously, with Root3 Technologies, he led development of SaaS energy technologies. He holds a PhD and MS from the U of Michigan.

Co-founder (CEO)Paul Hines has nearly 20 years of experience solving problems in the electricity industry at the National Energy Technology Lab, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Alstom ESCA, and Black and Veatch. He currently works at Packetized Energy and at the University of Vermont. He earned a Ph.D. in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon U. in 2007 and an M.S. in Electrical Power Systems from the U. of Washington in 1997.

Co-founder (COO)
Jeff Frolik has 30 years of industrial and academic experience in multiple areas of electrical engineering including communications, signal processing, and energy. He was a satellite systems engineer for Hughes Aircraft Co. and as an independent consultant. He was a faculty member at Tennessee Technological University and is now at the University of Vermont (UVM) specializing in the areas of wireless communications and sensor networks.

Chief EngineerAndrew leads IoT hardware and software developments. He has 4 years of experience leading and engineering hybrid electric race cars at national collegiate competitions. Andrew has previously worked for large national Department of Defense contractors in the aerospace industry. He holds an M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Vermont with a focus on wireless communication systems.
