Company Summary

The company will be a spinout from the University of Oxford with the sole focus on commercializing the Electromagnetic Acoustic imaging. The first 2 years will focus on developing the final product, as well as, conducting clinical trials to gather data validating the clinical value of the EMA system. The end customers will be radiologists at hospitals or imaging clinics who will be able to better diagnose their patients and improve outcomes.

    Amol is a seasoned executive in the medical device industry. He has over 20 years of medical device experience, mainly in the imaging space. He has had the opportunity to manage multiple disciplinary team including sales, engineering and operations. His experience is from both large OEMs to start-up and has the experience and knowledge. He has a passion for the healthcare industry and is driven to improving the outcomes for patients.

    CTO

    Professor David Edwards has been an academic for more than twenty years after having spent 12 years in industry (BT). David's research activities have been in comm. systems, radio imaging, medical imaging and electromagnetic measurements, and superconducting devices. He has authored/co-authored approx. 400 publications including academic papers, books and patents. He has commercialized numerous products and he is a founder and director of OxEMA.
