Company Summary

Our Table is a model multi-stakeholder collective that harnesses the power of collaboration to create shared value through all stages of food growth and production. Worker-owner members of the cooperative engage in multiple aspects of the food system from raising crops and animals on the cooperative's 60-acre farm in Sherwood, to value-added processing, aggregation and retail.

  • Narendra Varma
    Director

    Narendra launched his career at Microsoft in software design and project management. After an eight-year stint with the company, his focus turned toward Permaculture design and Biodynamic agriculture. In 2010, he introduced a not-for-profit entity, known as Community by Design LLC, which purchased the Sherwood farm that serves as the home of Our Table. Narendra continues to guide the vision, strategy and overall operations of the co-op.

  • Gianna Banducci
    DIrector of Sales & Marketing

    Gianna spent the first few years of her career in regional marketing with Thomson Reuters. From here, she moved to Italy to earn a Master's degree in food studies at the University of Gastronomic Sciences. Upon completing her program, she continued to explore food through work in a bakery cooperative, artisan ice cream business and a mix of organic farms. Gianna now shares the Our Table story via sales channels as well as local events and media.

  • Paul Shaw
    Farm Manager

    Since Paul joined Our Table in 2012, he has remained committed to cultivating a thriving and diverse ecosystem of plants and animals on the farm. Land restoration, animal husbandry and new cultivation have been his particular areas of emphasis. Over the years, he has run a nursery business, worked in a variety of construction trades and operated a small-scale vegetable farm. He contributes 25 years of firsthand farming knowledge to Our Table.

  • Josh Volk
    Annuals Manager

    With over 15 years of experience growing vegetables for CSAs from Connecticut to California to Oregon, Josh heads up the vegetable production at Our Table doing everything from designing the shares and the planting plan, to harvesting the vegetables and delivering them by bike to Portland. Additionally, Josh operates a small farm consulting business under the name Slow Hand Farm and teaches workshops on vegetable production.
