Company Summary

Perforated tympanic membranes (ear drums) primarily affect children and the elderly. Caused by infection, ventilation tubes or trauma, they can cause ear infection, pain and hearing loss. Current repair procedures (tympanoplasties) require complex surgery, and are only indicated for patients who can undergo general anaesthesia. This device will enable myringoplasties (type 1 tympanoplasties) by means of simple minimally-invasive procedures.
