Company Summary

Organic Transit Vehicles (OTVs) fill the niche between bicycles and automobiles with an economical and energy efficient alternative. They combine pedal and solar power in a stable all weather vehicle capable of carrying up to 800 lbs of cargo. The ELF is a personal transport vehicle designed for individuals who desire an alternative to traditional bicycles and the Truckette is a heavy duty model for use in commercial delivery and campus transit.


  • Built 62 mph bikes. Designed plastic aerodynamic bodies, support from GE & DuPont. Directed first US solar car race. Worked for BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, Honda. Creative Director projects: ESPN, NFL, Whamo. Documentary producer for O2 Productions: Lois Gibbs, Ralph Nader and the Violence Against Women Act. Adviser to Gov. Jerry Brown.
    Directed campaigns for The Body Shop with Anita Roddick. Lectured at numerous colleges.

  • Transportation & graphic designer. Built the world's most efficient electric vehicle. Won the FTA's Rapid Bus Transportation Design competition and the Solar Re-Fueling Station contest. designed graphics for numerous human powered vehicle competitions. Graphic and architectural renderings.

  • Senior designer for Giant Bicycles, the largest bicycle manufacturer. Designed 70 models for global distribution. Integrated patent process into the initial design. Numerous meetings with manufacturers and fabricators in Asia. Graduate of Pasadena School of Design in Transportation Design.

  • Owner of Carver Bikes, a custom, made to order bike manufacturing company out of China. Each bike is a high end, one of a kind bike specific to each customer with rapid turn around. Owner of, one of the earliest online bike retail/wholesale operations. Owner of Bath Cycle & Ski, several retail bike shops in Maine. Davis has refined prototypes for other bicycle and wheelchair companies.

  • Business development for Amtech, composites for light rail, wind industry and vehicle components. Set up US manufacturing for Kinesis, the largest OEM bike frame builder. During his tenure over 1MM bike frames were produced. Head of hard goods for Performance Bicycle. Opened up their first Asian manufacturing of frames and components.

  • CEO of NextRnD, Founder of Delta Glide electric wheelchairs, Industrial engineer at Cannondale

  • Alix Bowman is an MBA and experienced eco-entrepreneur. She spent many years as an environmental educator in New York, Louisiana, and Oregon before earning her MBA at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. Ms. Bowman has won awards for multiple business plans including a 2008 Eileen Fisher Business Grant for Women for a green landscaping company called Goat Patrol.
