Company Summary

Oratel Diagnostics works with dairy farmers to develop easy-to-use, low-cost tests that improve breeding efficiency. Oratel has developed a precise, patented, single-use test that uses visible colors to tell farmers exactly when a cow is about to ovulate. Economic models predict that the test increases farm profits by $30/cow. For comparison, recent historical trends suggest that Northeast dairy farms have annual net earnings of about $321/cow.
