Company Summary

The One Metre Initiative (OMI), launched in October 2007, promises to be the most important telescopes in Canada. To be located in the Madawaska Highlands in eastern Ontario, one of the darkest and accessible areas in southern Canada; the OMI will be a world-class facility and perform as one the best one metre telescopes in the world.

    Founding Partner

    Frank is an entrepreneur with more than 25 years experience as an electrical engineer and several years of business experience. Frank has been interested in science, space and astronomy for over 35 years. He is the prime visionary and architect for the initiative. Frank has been devoting all of his time toward moving the project forward since the founding.

  • Chris Zmozynski
    Managing Partner

    Chris is a small business co-founder/owner with a long standing interest in science and cosmology. Having worked professionally for close to 10 years as a Construction Estimator and Junior Project Manager (as well as a: canoe guide, snowboard instructor, high ropes/climbing instructor) Chris brings a unique skill set to both the development and successful operations the initiative.
