OCO is commercializing its globally-patented, carbon-negative electro-catalytic process to convert carbon dioxide generated by industrial and fossil fuel burning power plants into a value-added platform chemical, formic acid.

The process developed has 30% lower operating and capital costs than existing fossil-based thermochemical production methods by using water, low cost renewable electricity and $30/ton CO2 to make $1000/ton formic acid.
