NuWave Spine's business was formed by a team of spinal industry executives who collaborated with five of the most innovative spine surgeons in the U.S. to develop the nine-products now in the prototype stage. This team brings over 100 years of cumulative experience in the spinal business, which will allow the company to rapidly enter the global market with a much broader and innovative spinal product line than seen in any previous new venture.

    Scott spearheaded the development of all NuWave Spine products at his medical device incubator, MD3, and personally worked with all of the spine surgeons. He has over 20 years of experience in spinal product development, and extensive, successful entrepreneurial experience having started two successful new business'. 3D Engineering is a busy contract product development firm; and the Physician's RX is a pain-control specialized distributor.

  • Eric Hansen
    President

    Eric has over 20 years of sales & marketing experience in the U.S. spinal market, and did serve as a member of the top management team for two of the most successful new ventures in the spinal business.
    He was the senior sales executive at Spinal Dynamics, where he teamed with a spins surgeon and their success led to an acquisition of the company by Stryker.
    He then helped start Blackstone, which was acquired by Orthofix for over $100 million.

  • Leonel Dominguez
    Executive Vice-President, Operations

    Leonel has been the senior product development executive for both major companies and start-up ventures in the orthopedic, ENT and spinal market, including Smith & Nephew, Medtronic, Mekanika U.S. Spine and Scientx. He then started Hyperjax Biomedical, where he specialized on product development for spinal surgery. He also has extensive manufacturing, quality control and regulatory experience, a great background to manage operations.
