Mike has managed and led multiple businesses and campaigns, both local and national in scope. A UCSC graduate, he worked at local businesses like Bonny Doon Vineyard and Upper Crust, then lived in Central Europe (Slovakia) as a Peace Corps Volunteer, where he encountered Czech beer and culture. He teaches at Stanford's Graduate School of Business, where he also studied.

A graduate of UCSC, Dan has beer brewing professionally for eighteen years, with experience in both Germany and the US. He was a brewmaster for Gordon Biersch in San Jose, and brewed for Trumer Pils in Berkeley. He has served as executive director of the South Bay Brewers Guild and founded NuBo to produce beers made with traditional European methods not widely used on the West Coast.

Donovan led a sales team for American Tower while taking brewing courses through UC Davis. With a deep passion for beer, and a love for building an organization, he joined NuBo in late 2016 to oversee its growth through self-distribution. Today, he leads our sales and taproom teams.
