The Negro Spiritual Project The uniquely African-American legacy will be explored in a seminal event concert in February of 2013 with 2500 voices from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The purpose of this event is to highlight the extraordinary body of musical work available for performance as well as the gifted young people who are still studying and learning of this genre and adding their voices to the centuries.
