Company Summary

The Nowa Wastewater Sludge Processing System is efficient and simple. It takes sludge directly from the municipal wastewater treatment plant, transforms it into valuable products and leaves no waste behind -- at a lower cost than alternative methods of disposal. After final treatment and reuse, the waste is eliminated and the residuals include extracted oil and a soil conditioner/fertilizer.

An attorney with 34 years of experience, he has served on the board of directors for several companies. Prior to joining Nowa Technology, he was the general counsel for a national franchisor. Nowa Technology is the second startup company Mr. De Shazo has managed through to venture capital funding.

    Richard Nelson

    Mr. Nelson brings 40 years of intrepreneurial and entrepreneurial experience. He spent many years with CIGNA, where he was President & CEO of 2 subsidiaries. He then became General Partner with JDR Properties, which sold in 1989. He co-founded The Grant Nelson Group and was CEO until the company was sold to CBIZ in 1998. Prior to founding Nowa, he operated Coterie LLC, a provider of consulting and business services to post start-up organizations.

    Mr. Robinson brings over forty years of engineering and construction experience. He began his career at global engineering and construction firm Black & Veatch, and was a Managing Partner prior to becoming Vice Chairman. From 2000-2005, he was Executive Director of Amey plc, a British business process outsourcing company, then Chairman of EPC Global, Ltd. He returned to the US in 2005 to create Hamilton Ventures, and joined Nowa in 2013.

He has worked on projects in the United States, Central / South America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
