Dr. Tommi Kääriäinen is a co-founder and President of NovaldMedical. He is also an Academy of Finland postdoctoral researcher in the Laboratory of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Helsinki Finland and a visiting research associate at the University of Colorado Boulder. Tommi has over 13 years of expertise in thin film deposition and analysis technologies. His current research is related to ALD and its development on pharmaceuticals.

Mr. Juha Laiho is a Vice President, business development, of NovaldMedical. He is a pioneering innovator in the biomaterial business having unique experience in commercialization of first absorbable bone fixation devices to international markets. He has solid industrial expertise in operative and technology management as well as in consulting business.

Dr. Marja-Leena Kääriäinen is a co-founder and Vice President, thin film technology and medical devices, of NovaldMedical. She is also a research associate at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She has worked in departments of Biochemistry and Chemistry, and in Chemical and Biological Engineering. She has experience in NovaldMedical's core technology, Atomic Layer Deposition, for over ten years.

Dr. Pekka Hoppu is a Vice President, pharmaceuticals, of NovaldMedical. Years 2009-2010, he was a visitor scholar in the University of Kentucky, Faculty of Pharmacy in the USA, where he studied peptide degradation pathways in solid pharmaceuticals. Dr. Hoppu is a serial entrepreneur whose expertise is in pharmaceutical analytics, industrial pharmacy in general and in patient needs in healthcare sector.
