Company Summary

A rare opportunity exists to purchase a resort property in Big Sur, and have a restaurant that serves sushi, BBQ, Chinese, Thai, and Pacific Rim food. We will effectively have no competition closer than 30 miles. This company is based on a stopgap marketing plan, focusing on "the hole", which is a gap in goods or services available. We'll have hot tubs, coin-op laundry, tent sites, and tent cabins. Tons of local business and millions of tourists.

Team

  • Megan Nicole Parigi
    Managing Partner and Executive Chef

I'm a UCLA alumna that cooks because I love it. I have about six years of restaurant experience, but never lost the business savvy I developed managing petrochemical imports for Cementhai. I do a lot of Pacific Rim food, have been to Thailand, so do a lot of Thai, and I'm good at listening to what my friends and neighbors crave, so I made this plan and found this property. I know how to do sushi. People here are very excited about eating my food.

  • Liz Baker
    General Manager

Liz has worked in restaurants for her entire adult life, and has an intuitive sense of the customer. She is great at reading people, and seems to always know what people need. She has a great eye for decor, thankfully, because I can make a plate pretty, but can't make a room pretty for anything. She is good at handling people, so she will also be doing HR and concert bookings. I put my full faith and credit in Liz, knowing that I trust her fully.

  • Shawn Lawrence Jensen
    Facilities Manager

Shawn has gained 15 years of construction and maintenance experience. He can do anything, and even planned part of this resort. He is very industrious, and will work around the clock to guarantee everything is done properly. He has mechanical knowledge, can fix our generators, and has enough supervisory experience to properly oversee housekeeping and landscaping. Shawn does things thoroughly, and gets the job done right the first time.

  • Norman Munch
    BBQ Cook

Norman believes in this company and is a wonderful BBQ cook. The 6' grill w/rotisserie in question was his, but he gave it to me in exchange for a job at this restaurant and resort. He makes plenty of money on his own BBQing on street corners and in parking lots in town, but believes in the idea and wants to give it to me so we can do this and he can live in Big Sur. I've known him for quite a while, and he's one of the friendliest people I know.
