Company Summary

NOMsense Bakery is a Philadelphia-based wholesale and catering bakery. We thoughtfully design and handmake cookie sandwiches with a NOMsensical twist through a four-step process of cookies, filling, drizzle, and topping. Our cookie sandwiches, or “NOMwiches,” are distributed through events catering at the University of Pennsylvania as well as through wholesale partners in the Philadelphia community.

Team

  • Co-Founder and CEO

    Alina Wong is originally from San Diego, California and is majoring in International Relations in the College at Penn. She began baking at a local wedding cake bakery in San Diego after graduating from high school, and the baking bug has not left her since. During summers and while at Penn, she's worked in multiple award-winning kitchens as a pastry chef assistant in both New York and Philadelphia.

    Co-Founder and CEO

    Roopa Shankar is a Marketing student at Wharton with a passion for building brands and creating experiences around food. Roopa has found her home at the intersection of creativity and business through working with the founders on the launch of a local restaurant, interning for Mondelez International in their brand management department, and working for sweetgreen part-time through the school year as a Marketing Intern.
