Company Summary

Our restaurant finder enables users to identify restaurants in a given location as vegan, vegetarian, kosher, gluten-free, organic, and/or local. Additionally, we have partnerships that allow our restaurant finder to be actionable - users can make reservations, place orders, and claim deals. Diet-contextual hubs allow the user to post content, which can then be upvoted or downvoted, thus permitting the community to identify relevant content.

    Co-founder JJ Koch is a Duke University alum with a degree in economics and a law degree from SMU. He is a licensed attorney, ex-judicial candidate, and two-time entrepreneur with two previous successful exits. JJ developed the original, more limited concept behind Nommunity when his foray into a fitness and conditioning program (CrossFit) introduced him to a restrictive diet (paleo diet).

    Co-founder Zachary Wiles is a serial entrepreneur with significant experience in DevOps and UI/UX. He launched his first profitable venture at the age of 15, was the CEO of ControlledHost and most recently, the Systems Architect at B2B Web Ventures.

    COO

    Co-founder Stephen Liu received a chemical engineering degree from the University of Texas, and is a licensed patent attorney who has represented a spectrum of clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Stephen has helped to launch three other entrepreneurial endeavors, and has counseled numerous other startups. Stephen and JJ started discussing the underlying idea of Nommunity and eventually brought on JJ's brother Jesse and Zach
