    Richard Barbour received his BA degree in Economics from the University of Miami. Since joining NIRx in 2008, he has established a world-wide distributor network and grown sales by 300%. His responsibilities are in Sales-Marketing and Business Development.

  • Christoph H. Schmitz
    Director of Engineering

    Dr. Schmitz received his Ph. D. degree in Physics from the University of Hannover, Germany, and has a strong background in laser optics, medical physics and electronic system design. He has published more than 30 peer review and conference papers and has served as Principal Investigator on grant awards from the National Cancer Institute and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Dr. Schmitz oversees NIRx European operations in Berlin, Germany.

    Director of Software Development

    Dr. Xu obtained his M.S. Degree in Physics from Chengdu University of Science and Technology and in 1995 received his Ph.D. Degree in Physics from the Southwest Jiaotong University. Dr. Xu is experienced in the use of mathematical and experimental techniques for acquiring and analyzing optical tomographic data. He is the primary author of 14 peer review and conference papers and is the lead architect for software development.

  • Harry L. Graber
    Senior Application Specialist

    Dr. Graber received his B.A. in Chemistry from Washington University in 1983 and his Ph.D. in Physiology and Biophysics from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 1998. Dr. Graber has published more than 50 peer review and conference reports and has been associated with the development of the field of optical tomography since its inception in the late 1980's.

  • Randall Locke Barbour
    CEO

    Dr. Barbour holds a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from Syracuse University and is Professor of Pathology and Bioengineering at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Barbour is regarding as a founding father of the field of optical tomography, has published more than 200 peer review and conference reports, holds 17 patents and has received more than $15M in grant awards from numerous federal agencies.
