Every year 50,000 autistic adults + 50,000 adults with brain trauma, cerebral palsy, etc. turn 21, and lose childhood benefits, and must reapply for all services. The most constrained service is housing, with waiting lists of over 10 years. We use a new hybrid, a for-profit/non-profit model, with complimentary businesses to improve revenue streams. This new model will be scaled up to multiple sites in NY, and then nationally.
