He has been practicing medicine since 1979 and his interests include trauma, heart attacks, and pain management. He is currently a partner of Burbank Emergency Medical Group which runs the Emergency Department at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California. He helped develop the Burbank Occupational Clinic
