Company Summary

Based in Toronto, Ontario, Next Mobile Inc. was founded in January, 2011 by four undergraduates from across Canada as part of a program called The Next 36. Next Mobile is committed to the design and implementation of mobile applications across a variety of platforms that are inherently social, scalable, and that build on an existing user-base. Next Mobile has successfully raised its first round of financing to launch Electric Courage.

    Duncan is the CEO and a co-founder of Next Mobile. Before Next Mobile, he owned an operated a College Pro house painting franchise with revenues of over $402,000 in two summers with a profit margin of 35%.

    Co-founder

    Holly has authored five peer-reviewed publications while working in the department of orthopaedic surgery at Toronto Western Hospital and developed a colleague education system at Dermetics dermatology practice.

    Shahed Al-Haque
    Co-founder

    Shahed has co-authored three peer-reviewed publications in regenerative medicine and engineering education as well as co-founded and led a student group that develops custom assistive devices for people with disabilities. He is currently pursuing a Masters degree. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachussetts.

    JP joined Next Mobile while continuing to act as president of St. Mary’s University Students in Free Enterprise. He also Co-founded and managed a mobile car detailing service and has won several prestigious business plan competitions.

    Jayme has seven years of experience with technical startups. His latest being the CTO at Avema Corp where he oversaw the company's growth from 3 to 25 employees and revenue growth from $100,000 to $1.5m.
