During this time he was a co-founder of LogiKeep, Inc., and co-inventor of Intellishield™, a pioneer IT security product – first acquired by Vigilinx and then Cisco Systems. He also served as a US Navy Surface Warfare Officer with experience in physical security, communications security and intelligence.

He has held notable positions at the Idaho National Lab, was CSO for American Electric Power, and was the 1997 US Navy Intelligence Officer of the Year.
