During this time he was a co-founder of LogiKeep, Inc., and co-inventor of Intellishield™, a pioneer IT security product – first acquired by Vigilinx and then Cisco Systems. He also served as a US Navy Surface Warfare Officer with experience in physical security, communications security and intelligence.

Michael is a recognized security and industrial control system expert. He was recently the VP & CSO at NERC and oversaw the implementation of cybersecurity standards across the North American electric power industry. Michael was a co-founder of LogiKeep, Inc., and co-inventor of Intellishield™. He has held notable positions at the Idaho National Lab, was CSO for American Electric Power, and was the 1997 US Navy Intelligence Officer of the Year.
