Received his BA in economics from Hamilton College and his BS in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before going to work in manufacturing integration of new product development for Lucent Technologies from 1998-2001. He has an MBA and Masters of Manufacturing from Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. Since 2004 he has been responsible for overseeing day to day operations.

Dennis Newman founded Imex Medical Systems, the leading domestic manufacturer of handheld ultrasound systems. For more than twenty years, until its acquisition by Nicolet Biomedical in 1997, Dennis was CEO and oversaw all strategic decisions within the organization. Afterwards he founded and was Chairman of the Vascular Disease Foundation, a non-profit patient education foundation, until resigning in 2008.
