Company Summary

Aquaponics is a system for farming plants and fish together in a mutually beneficial cycle. Fish waste (ammonia) turns into nitrites and eventually nitrates via the nitrogen cycle. These chemicals in large quantities can be extremely harmful for fish. However the nitrogen cycle’s end product, Nitrates, is plant fertilizer. As the plants suck up these nutrients, they purify the water and maintain a healthy, balanced environment for the fish.
