We are a coffee shop that goes beyond serving specialty coffee and baked goods. We exist to serve the community by offering healthy and affordable food while raising awareness of healthy living; promoting social justice through giving training and employment opportunities to the disadvantaged; and providing a space for nonprofits, small businesses, local artists, and grassroots leaders to collaborate and work towards a thriving community.

    Derrick is a graduate from New York University Stern School of Business, majoring in finance and entrepreneurship with a minor in communications. He is one of the founding members and is currently the manager of ANC Bakery. A graduate of the Culinary Techniques Program at The French Culinary Institute in New York, he also has working experience at sweetriot and Marcus Samuelsson Group.

    Operations Manager

    Colin is a graduate from New York University Stern School of Business with a B.S. in marketing and international business and a minor in psychology. Having the passion for cooking and serving people, he joined ANC Bakery after a particularly eye-opening talk at a social justice event. Since then, he has used his 7+ years of experience in the hospitality industry and interest in freelance catering to streamline ANC Bakery’s operations.
