Wendy articulates and refines NWG’s strategy and vision, manages investor relationships, and nurtures commercial strategic partnerships.

Founder, Chief Scientific OfficerDr. McKay is a Colorado State University professor who is widely published in the field of plant genetics and adaptation. His genetic discoveries are in the commercial breeding pipeline for multiple crops. McKay’s publications have been cited over 6,000 times, and has multiple research projects on investing in the genetics of adaptation to climate through competitive grant awards totaling over $24MM from the NSF, USDA, ARPA-E, and the DOE.

Founder, Chief Technology OfficerDr. Fletcher has extensive experience in commercial agricultural breeding as well as an understanding of the genetics impacting plant adaptation. Having led Cargill's canola breeding program for the last half of his 17-year Cargill career, he was a prime candidate to design and lead NWG’s commercial breeding program, extensive trialing program, and the related Intellectual property.

Daphne PreussCFODaphne Preuss is an entrepreneur focused on bringing genetic and biotechnology innovations to agriculture. Preuss’ company Chromatin assembled one of the most diverse collections of sorghum germplasm and team, ultimately launching over 20 high-yielding commercial sorghum varieties. She currently advises Ag biotech companies under her consulting entity Catalytical, LLC, and serves on numerous corporate, academic boards and advisory committees.
