    Dr. Fagan is Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Global ID Group (www.global-id-group.com ), a social enterprise through which he has pioneered the development of innovative tools to verify and advance food purity, safety and sustainability. Dr. Fagan holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology from Cornell University,

    Shane has a committed track record advocating for stronger social and environmental practices on behalf of underrepresented communities in the USA and abroad. He holds a BA in Business Management from the Maharishi University of Management and a J.D. from Vermont Law School. He joined EOS’s staff in 2012 to help develop the agricultural development branch of EOS.

    Director of Community and Government Relations

    Deepak Prakash Baskota is a former senior ranking member of Nepalese Parliament and active Chairman of the Kanchanjangha Tea Estate (KTE), a producer of organic teas in rural Nepal. Mr. Baskota founded KTE over 26 years ago under a cooperative farming model. Today KTE is comprised of over 500 farmers and has built an international reputation as a source for world class quality green, white, and black teas.

    Summera is a Senior Program Manager for the Women for Human Rights organization where she has worked since 2005. She advocates for social and economic empowerment of single women (widows). As Senior Program Manager she is responsible for the overall coordination of all work in line with the strategic plan of WHR, as well as resource generation, proposal development, report writing, and donor relations.

  • Nepalese Project Manager

    Bhupendra worked as a research officer at the Nepal Health Research Council in the Traditional Systems of Medicine and Herbal Resources sectors for over 10 years.

    His upbringing in a rural region of Nepal exposed him to the common economic struggle of the Nepalese farmer. His upbringing and education sparked the concept of Healing Herbs Nepal to promote sustainable utilization of herbal resources for the benefit of impoverished rural farmers.

    Community Liaison to Bhumahi

    A permanent resident of Bhumahi, Bharat has over a decade experience in mass mobilization and community organizing in Nepal. He works closely with several community based organizations advocating for improved economic opportunity for impoverished rural communities, as well as, the preservation and promotion of indigenous culture. Bharat is well respected on national level for his commitment to social development and grassroots advocacy.
