Company Summary

nanoMetallix (nMx) manufactures metallic organic nanocomposites — a nanoaluminum-based powder that allows Rocket and Launch Service providers (e.g. Aerojet Rocketdyne) to provide a more powerful fuel for increased payload capacity to orbit and increased revenue by carrying more satellites to space.

Team

  • Stephen Chung
    Principal Investigator

Stephen has worked with Dr. Steven Buckner and Dr. Paul Jelliss in his doctorate research on producing organically passivated Aluminum nanoparticles. His postdoctoral research studies involved synthesizing and characterizing self-assembled nanothermite composites at the University of Missouri-Columbia (e.g. nano-electro-mechanical systems and nano iron complexes).

  • Jake holds a master’s degree in engineering from Saint Louis University, with a focus in computational fluid dynamics for the development of synthetic tissue scaffolds. He uses his previous experience with nanomaterial fabrication and corresponding engineering principles to drive nMx daily operations.

  • Michael Becksted
Director of Energetics - Sales and Contracting

Mike provides sales and product development after years of engineering and project management across the globe, with large governments and their contractors. Mike’s technical background and goal-oriented task management has rewarded his efforts for multi-national organizations and governments.

  • Gregory Place
    CEO/President

Greg co-founded nanoMetallix LLC and propels the Company forward with a thorough understanding of the technology, the resultant applications, and the respective markets. He holds a degree in Biochemistry, multiple years' experience of chemical engineering, and previous start-up operational success, which enables him to organize, manage, and accelerate this early-enterprise.
