Company Summary

Somnium Productions is a film and television production company based in Las Vegas. We are forming Moe'Uhane, a sister company based in Oahu. Moe'Uhane will produce unique films that are locally relevant as well as commercially viable. Our project will target the lucrative male 18 - 45 demographic and have plenty of crossover appeal. We will share our passions with a series of workshops and seminars catering to Hawaii's young filmmakers.

    Alberto Triana
    Co-Founder/Director/Head of Somnium Animation

    Alberto Triana was raised in Pearl City Hawaii. He moved to Las Vegas in 2008 and enrolled at UNLV to study film. He went on to join Brass Taurus LLC. There he made his directorial debut on a web series. In 2009 Brass Taurus was disbanded, Kathleen and Sean went on to form Somnium Productions in 2010. As a managing member of Somnium he has directed short films such as It's Karma, Baby and Sweet Ninja Brown. He also manages Somnium Animation.

    Kris Masaji Mayeshiro
    Advertising Director

    Kris Mayeshiro was born and raised in Honolulu, HI. After relocating to Las Vegas, NV in 2000, Kris spent five years at SK+G Advertising as a Production Artist, Pre-Press Coordinator and Imaging Specialist in it’s subsidiary Mesmerize Studios. Kris has served as Advertising Director, Graphic Designer and Staff Photographer for Somnium Productions since it’s inception.

    Kathleen Shinn
    Co-Founder

    Kathleen Shinn's first career was in the healthcare field working as a hospital administrator in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2004 Shinn along with three partners, formed Brass Taurus Productions. In 2010 Shinn left Brass Taurus and founded Somnium Production with Sean Jackson, and Alberto Triana. Kathleen has produced over 30 short films, commercials and television pilots. She also produced the feature film Bubblegum & Broken Fingers in 2011.

    Sean Merrell Jackson

    Award winning writer/director, Sean Jackson is a native of Detroit, Michigan. In 2002 he relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to pursue his filmmaking passion. In 2010 Jackson founded Somnium Productions with Kathleen Shinn and Alberto Triana. Jackson has written and directed over thirty short films, commercials and television pilots. Jackson's debut feature film Bubblegum & Broken Fingers has won several awards on the film festival circuit.

    Christian Clayton Gregory Tomas
    Lead Character Designer/ Lead Animator

    Christian Tomas was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. In 2008, he graduated, and moved to Las Vegas to join Brass Taurus, while attending UNLV. When Brass Taurus separated, he remained an integral part of Somnium Productions, working in Special Effects, Sound, Art Direction, Makeup, Set Coordinator, Still Photography, PA, Copy Editor, and Actor. He is now Lead Animator and Character Design for Somnium Animation.

    Writer/Producer/Actor

    Brent Mukai was born and raised in Pearl City, Hawaii. He has written scripts with Somnium and acts as Head Writer and Co-Founder of Somnium Animation. Brent is also a performer in Las Vegas' longest running Improv show; Jest Serendipity, and an instructor of their high school improv comedy league. He has performed improv professionally on the Las Vegas Strip in the Paris Hotel, and the Palms Casino.
