Modvion has developed modular towers in engineered wood for commercial wind power. The modularity enables continued development towards taller turbines, with total height reaching beyond 200 m, and lowered cost per MWh without logistic issues. Modvions patented towers lowers tower costs by 40 %. At the same time it replaces two materials with high emissions of greenhouse gases, steel and concrete, with one that stores CO2 from the atmosphere.
