We are building a web service that allows remote control of biological imaging experiments. We want to allow students to design and execute experiments that would be difficult to do in the classroom. We don’t seek to displace hands-on lab biology work, but to make it easy to carry out a wider range of experiments. Our system can increase student engagement and the depth of their projects by incorporating computing, mathematics, and engineering.
