I am in the beginning stage of raising a farm. What I want to do, is to start small-scale, an all organic farm. Herbicides, pesticides, g.m.o.s and hormones are all poor for human health. My goal is to supply those people who agree with organics, or at the very least, contribute to the supply.
The ability in me to work like a mad man, has been shown time and time again. I will bust my back to make it happen.
So, I have the ideas, the motivation and commitment; most importantly, I have a huge market to sell my food products to. At this point, I am missing one thing. That is Money. What I am looking for, is funding in the form of a grant or loan.
I need a small acreage to start on. An acre is sufficent to get everything going. I want to begin all my farm duties with minimal equipment to reduce the startup cost. Equipment would include: a garden tiller, a hand rake and hoe, and lastly, a spray tank to water my crops during dry spells and to apply organic-liquid fertilizer. The price-tag on all the necessary equipment will be under $1,000 and it will all last years to come. The land will be purchased on a $15,000 budget and will likely be much less.
By figuring high, to be safe, $18,000 is the amount I need to get started. I expect a complete pay-off after the first year, but the contract details will influence the pay-off rate.
I need an investor who is interested in helping me to achieve my goal and make some money doing so.
