Roberto Guerrieri, co-founder of Mindseeds, is Full Professor at the University of Bologna and serial entrepreneur. He is senior founder of Silicon Biosystems S.p.A, a company involved in cancer diagnosis based on CTC detection and recovery and technology inventor of the fingerprint device of UPEK, Inc., based in Emeryville, CA and bought by Apple, Inc in 2012 for $356m.

Massimo Bocchi, co-founder and CTO, is an EE PhD. In 2010, after winning a Fulbright BEST scholarship, he obtained Certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship from the Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University, CA. He worked for STMicroelectronics and for Nodality, a US biotech startup. He has 10 years of research experience on microsystems for life science applications and is co-inventor of 3 patent families.
