A Deep Sea Probe or DSP is a wireless device for obtaining sealed samples from the seafloor of up to 14,000 ft. for geochemical and biological analyses.
Patented, wireless method of sampling will offer a tremendous advantage to a client in terms of costs, time and amount of data obtained compared to traditional methods. For example, a recent conventional coring program overseas for 100 samples incurred a total cost of $4.5 million and took over a year to implement. Utilizing this new DSP method, a similar survey would provide 1,000 samples in two months for less than $3.5 million.
