Company Summary

Microsens Diagnostics (MD) was established to exploit an established technology and patent portfolio in the field of diagnostics. The technology fulfils an unmet need in the development of point of care tests and automated sample extraction methods. MD has an initial focus and extensive collaborations with commercial partners on tuberculosis and MRSA. Sales of the MD technology into the TB market (marketed as TB-Beads) have already been made.

    Roger has experience in a number of hi-tech and life-science businesses, including acting Managing Director of one of the UKs largest microbial diagnostics groups. Latterly, Roger has managed the Microsens group of companies with responsibility for commercial and financial issues, including the successful licensing of the Seprion Technology for $1 million and distribution network in the Far East resulting in >$300K sales.

  • Dr Stuart Wilson
    CSO

    Dr Wilson is the inventor of the Microsens technology/ He has had a career in academia as Senior Lecturer at the internationally renowned London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and in public health as Deputy Director of the National TB CSO. Reference Centre. Dr Wilson has more than 40 publications in peer reviewed scientific journals and is co-inventor on multiple granted and filed patents.

  • Dr Christopher Stanley
    Business Strategist.

    Dr Stanley is a commercial scientist and entrepreneur He has been founder/manager of several European biotechnology companies, including IQ (Bio) Ltd., Celsis International, PNA Diagnostics A/S and AMDEX A/S. He has previously held the positions of Chief Scientist in the international consulting firm Scientific Generics Ltd and Senior Vice President, Discovery Technology Management Group at Cambridge Pharma Consultancy Ltd.
