There is no technology to remediate PW other than incineration, an archaic, expensive and polluting process. Our System is non-polluting, cheaper and transportable. Few of the country's 7,081 hospitals and 45,000 LTC's keep data on the pharmaceutical waste they generate. Based on a small sample the AP estimates at least 250 million lbs. nationally. Hospitals are reporting 10-fold increases in costs for managing Pwaste.
