Micropulse, a Minnesota company has created a "small cell" alternating pressure pad and control system designed specifically for the prevention of pressure ulcers. Designed for the hospital operating table and can be modified for any environment where patients have limited body movement for more than a few hours, such as wheel chairs and bed supports.The MicroPulse pad is thin enough to support the patient and does not cause any patient movement.
