As CEO and Board Chair, Karen leads company capital acquisition, develops strategic relationships, secures federal and state grants, and manages all Board activities to mature the company’s growth. Karen’s leadership and management of the company led the company to compete successfully in many local and national competitions, secure $8M in funding, and complete initial design, development and fabrication of the Company field pilot.

Inventor of technologies that address energy, fuel efficiency, desalination, and water purification issues through particle size reduction. He has cultivated lifelong research, development, and engineering competencies in high-efficiency systems leading to revolutionary automotive fuel, medical, and water devices. He is the inventor for 31 U.S. patents and highly practiced in evolving engineering designs into alternative product applications.

Liz has held a number of leadership positions in public and private companies. She started her business career working in various management roles at CSX (Fortune 500) ending her tenure as the departmental CFO for the company’s Innovation and Technology departments, later joining the Richmond-based venture capital firm, NRV. Liz founded The Sandbox because she is passionate about helping entrepreneurs launch and grow their ventures.

Greg brings his leadership and years of program and acquisition management experience. Before coming to Micronic, Greg consulted with government and industry after a distinguished Air Force career serving as Commander, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)-Teterboro, Commander, DCMA-Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Space & Missile Systems Center, and at the Sacramento Air Logistics Center.
