Company Summary

Semios developed a low-powered wireless mesh networks to connect our proprietary in-field sensors and actuators via mobile applications. Our sensors include weather stations, micro-climate and pest monitoring traps. Our actuators include remotely controlled delivery systems for biopesticides, such as organic pheromones products. The service improves crop management practices, reduces labour costs and improves crop yields.

    Mr. Van Natto has more than 22 years of experience in agriculture with the federal government, DuPont Canada, and several start-up ventures. He has worked in R&D, regulatory affairs, and commercialization for products and has vast experience coordinating the activities of various contract researchers, university, and government collaborators in support of regulatory and product launch activities.

    CTO

    Mr. Metcalfe was Chairman and CEO of Dynamic Control Systems Inc. a manufacturer of applied laser sensor and machine vision technology from 1976-1997. In 1997 Dynamic Control Systems acquired several international sensor manufacturers and became LMI Technologies Inc. Mr. Metcalfe remained Chairman, CEO until he moved to a Director role after LMI was acquired by AUGUSTA Technologie AG. in 2011.
