Company Summary

In the spring of 2012, Leonie Smelt and Eva Rennen founded their own icepop-label: MELT icepops, with the vision that a mass product could still be unique. They have developed a unique production process using 3d printing, enabling them to design and produce any kind of shape.Their consumers are as varied as their designs. At the moment the icepops are specifically sold on festivals and events and for brand activations and are ready to go global.

    Leonie Smelt is a successful Dutch fashion designer whose work is inspired by architecture, mathematical structures, new technology, and video art. Her awarded collections and fashion videos have been shown internationally at exhibitions. Leonie’s goal with Melt Icepops is to use her creativity and knowledge about design towards a commercial product without losing the functionality, Refreshing icepops in more ways than just in taste.

    Founder, CEO, Manager, Concept Development

    Starting out her education in Graphic Design and Concept Development, Eva's interest broadened towards sociology and is now finishing her MA. She is an interdisciplinary professional who uses creativity, inventiveness and her interest in technology and science to come up with innovative ideas. She has been awarded with Student of the Year 2010 and has been nominated with MELT icepops for Dutch Student Enterpreneur of the Year 2013.
