As a result of numerous and incompatible Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platforms, communication within the medical industry, such as between doctor’s offices, has become limited. This limitation has caused the industry to become inefficient and nearly unaffordable. MedaPriori aims to increase the level of communication within the medical industry by combining medical records from across EMR platforms. The innovative technology introduced by MedaPriori has been built through direct collaboration with medical professionals. This collaboration has lead to the development of a user-friendly interface that gives professionals easy access to information that is needed for an efficient patient diagnosis. Furthermore, by having access to information from outside of their personal practice, these professionals are able to reduce the overall medical costs to patients by limiting the frequency of redundant testing and readmission.

While still in its infancy, MedaPriori plans to direct its services to medical professionals by following the business model established by EMR vendors, but at a fraction of the price. While most EMR vendors charge practices between 6-8 percent of each practice’s annual billing, MedaPriori is able to charge only 3% as a result of its lean corporate structure. The difference in cost also makes MedaPriori an attractive option to small to mid-sized medical clinics that are not able to afford high-end EMR platforms. These smaller clinics will serve as a vital niche to help MedaPriori enter into the market.
