    Dr Butcher is the originator of the Meaglow technology. He has 26 years of experience in the area of nitride semiconductors. Dr Butcher has had experience in 5 previous startup companies, and held the position of CTO for one of those companies when it went public. He has also held past roles as company secretary and treasurer, and was a Treasurer of the Australian Institute of Physics for three years. Scott has managed company IP portfolios.

    Dr Butcher has over 25 years experience with the development of innovative semiconductor deposition equipment. He is also a pioneer in the development of nitride semiconductors, used for LEDs and laser diodes, with over 100 papers and several patents in the area.
