Company Summary

Mapistry makes environmental permit compliance easy, just like TurboTax did for taxes, specifically for permits that rely heavily on maps. The first market we are targeting is stormwater. Traditionally, an industrial facility would hire an engineer to complete their permit. With Mapistry, facilities can just do it themselves. And for engineers, instead of wasting a whole week, they can complete the permit in a hour. Mapistry is a MergeLane alum.

  • Ryan Janoch
    Founder

    Ryan spent the past 10 years in the civil engineer and construction industry. He ran large mapping, water system, and environmental remediation projects across the US. Ryan was recently named one of the top 20 people under 40 years old in civil engineering and construction.

  • Allie Janoch
    CEO, Founder

    Allie was a key member of the small engineering team at IQ Engines (acquired by Yahoo in August 2013). She was a NSF Fellow in the Ph.D program at UC Berkeley, but left early (with MS) to join IQ Engines. Allie has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and was at MIT's Lincoln Labs prior to UC Berkeley.
