Kriisa Research is developing technology that spontaneously converts ambient heat into useable electrical power in a way unrelated to current known technologies. The devices require no fuel, recharging, light, motion, work anywhere. The initial market, energy harvesting, is estimated at $4.2B by 2019. Patents were awarded in multiple geographies during 2010 and 2011 and the US patent (8,053,947) was issued in Fall 2011 and 8,581,469 in 2013.

    has served as the company’s President. He holds an MM in Accounting and Finance from
    Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a BSc from the University of Illinois.

    Mr. Kriisa holds a BSc and a MSc in physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Along side concentrated research in the area of quantum mechanics since 1975,
    Mr. Kriisa has taught physics at various Illinois colleges.
