In a restaurant there are requirement of multiple items such as Vegetables, Groceries, housekeeping items, beverages etc. to name a few. In order to procure these items a restaurant has to coordinate with multiple vendors. Which takes a lot of the time and effort of the restaurant owner/procurement manager etc.

We are developing a marketplace for restaurants. This will act as a one stop shop for restaurants from where it can purchase all the required items. This platform will help restaurant to save a lot of their effort of going to multiple vendors, gathering the market intelligence and then source the items. These efforts saved can be used by the restaurants to improve their overall efficiency in the other part of the business. This platform can also be used by Caterers and mom & pop stores to source their items.

This platform will be have flexible mode of order placement such as web, app, telephone call, SMS etc.

We have had discussion with over 20 restaurants and more than 10 suppliers across 2 cities to understand their value chain and they believe if there is such platform which would act as a one stop shop for them will definitely help them in improving their overall efficiency.

Source of Revenue:

A) Commission
1) Commission will be charged by the MandiSmart for all the sale made through its platform
2) Commission will vary based on the type of items sold through the platform. E.g. For Grocery items it could be 5-7% and for Bakery items it could be as good as 20%
B) Revenue from Advertisement
1) There will be a advertisement fee charged by MandiSmart from the product manufacturers to show their products under featured products categories. Charges will vary based on the products
C) Product Sample Distribution of the Companies Willing to Expand their Market
1) All companies wants to increase their visibilities and hence they distribute free samples to the restaurants. They can use MandiSmart to distribute their samples to restaurants to increase their visibility and will result in more sale. Charges will vary based on the products
