Lumos is developing the RTV System, a catheterization system that provides real-time information on intracorporeal PICC catheter position during insertion. Existing methodologies are difficult, risky, and cost-inefficient with up to 85% of placements failing on the first attempt. The RTV System incorporates visible light to inform the catheter placement, signifncantly reducing the time, cost and adverse events associated with current practice.
