LumiShield, a Delaware C-corp spun out of Carnegie Mellon University in 2014, has created a precoat that is safer, more sustainable, and superior in performance to any incumbent technology. The coating, developed through a combination of seed investment and grants, allows LumiShield's customers to create inexpensive, aluminum-based coatings using their existing equipment in combination with LumiShield's proprietary plating solution.
