Loop Diagnostics started in dHEALTH program, a disruptive talent initiative powered by Biocat and inspired by Stanford Biodesign. Founded in 2018 by a Ph.D. in immunology and infectious diseases, Enrique Hernandez Jimenez, an MSc in innovation, Eduard Guerrero, and Emergency doctor, Erika Plata; with the vision to develop and commercialize diagnostic solutions that allow bloodstream infections to be diagnosed early.

    Chief Clinical Officer

    Internal medicine and Critical care physician and postgraduate researcher of the group “Inmunitat innata i patologia del malat critic” in the IDIBELL. She has a Master´s degree on Clinical Research in emergency and critically ill patients attention by the University of Barcelona. She coordinates the “Reduction of perioprocedural acute kidney injury by using a membrane with adsorptive properties during cardiopulmonary bypass” randomised trial.

    CFO

    Mr. Eduard Guerrero has a multidisciplinary background in pharmacy, accountability and customer development. He has 4 years’ experience working and managing his own pharmacy with a 4 people workforce. He has a deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical and medical device market and strong skills in managing the relationships supplier-customer/ caregiver-patient. He has been part of several innovation programs like D-Health (Moebio) and WildCard (EIT).
