At Berkeley, he led the team of researchers and software engineers developing transportation modeling algorithms and software. In 2010-13 Alex was the founder and CEO of Relteq Systems, company developing decision support software for transportation management.

Chief ScientistProfessor in the EECS Department at the UC, Berkeley, Laurent co-authored three books: “Linear Matrix Inequalities in Systems and Control Theory”, “Robust Optimization”, and “Optimization Models”. He is an expert in optimization, machine learning, and mathematical models for finance.
